A New Beginning

The Spring Equinox arrived on the 20th of this month but, in reality, no evidence of it here on Cape Cod. As I write I am seeing a raging blizzard with 60 mph winds. Our Winter has been a challenge for all of us here in the Northeast and we are just pacing at the gate waiting for an opportunity to get outside and  start our gardening chores. I bought some pansies on that first day of Spring and they still remain in my garage hoping to see the light of day.

We Cape Codders have always considered Spring an oxymoron as we typically stay very cool with a few teases here and there. I have observed that the reliable Summer weather arrives right on schedule on the Fourth of July! In the meantime we can hope that, perhaps this year, we will get that Spring we deserve. Today looking out the bleak scene I need to share some “eye candy” with you. Here’s to New Beginnings. Spring Grouping at Door
